Tonights adventures

Being the mother of 3 teenage boys brings many adventures to my life...sometimes I have to remind myself that dead kids are hard to explain, but most of the time they are fun to be around. I love when all of their friends hang around. I do believe we are the "flop" house so to speak. One of the things that attracts them is the food, because I LOVE LOVE LOVE to cook. Trying new recipes is my favorite past time. I am happiest in my kitchen with a cold beverage, music blaring on the radio, a knife in my hand and an onion on my cutting board. My style is classic comfort food with a cajun flair. I am hoping to share some of my favorite recipes and food blogs here and maybe get a little interaction going between fellow cookers. Tonight I had on hand a couple of bags of catfish fillets. The fly wanted baked fish but we had that last week. I decided to make a catfish courtbouillon, which is basically an ettoufe with fish. And as soon as I figure out how, I will post a pic. :o)

MY little corner of cajun country is for the most part dull. Full of my trying to rub along as a wife, mother, sister, etc. Occasionally I have some interesting things to say so I have decided to try this blogging thing and see if anyone out in cyberspace might be a bit interested as well. Not really sure how all of this works yet, so be patient, I will get it eventually! :o)
